Great days in the 80s on the British Soul Train with Shirley Lewis, Sylvia Mason, Luis Jardim et al.
I was so lucky to be part of a group that recorded backing tracks for shows like Top of the Pops, the Tube, Soul Train etc. because of a Musicians Union agreement with visiting American artists. The MU thought if the visiting artists used their own tracks then British musicians were put out of work. Hence I had the pleasure of re- programming and re-recording the music of Sister Sledge, James Ingram, New Edition, Arrow, Pointer Sisters and more! Learning my trade, having fun and getting paid. What a life!
