For years I avoided any association with the Eurovision Song Contest and then I realised it was so uncool it was really cool - I mean Terry Wogan? Legend! And what was I thinking? Maybe it was my hair that at the time was considered cool ( You walked into the hairdresser in Kensington High Street and came out with long hair as opposed to short ) that was uncool ... life in the 80s!
