12 musicians, artists, poets popping up along the River Wall as part of a ’Floating Equal’ installation representing the twelve hours of day and night and  12 notes of the musical octave at 12 noon on Saturday 24th September.

Bards Aloud, Leon Clowes, Helen Woodbridge, Phil Jackson, Charlie Law, Jan Pulsford, Claudia Myatt, Julia Danse, Drew Whitemore, Carl Best, Stephen William Hodd, and others will be doing surprise performances between 11-12 from Kyson Hill up to Whisstocks.

You are ALL invited to be part of this, to explore the ambience of the river and celebrate the arrival of the Autumnal Equinox and welcome the River Declaration, a charter being brought up from the North Sea by canoeists, swimmers, small boats and kayakers. Sae Wylfing will be leading the flotilla and will join them at Kyson Point around 11am to arrive at Whisstocks for 12 noon where Transition Woodbridge is hosting an Environmental Awareness and Local Growers Food Market.

The River Declaration, presented by the 'Save The Deben' Campaign, will be read at Whisstocks with talks and displays on how climate change is affecting our beautiful river at the Scout Hut.
Aartwork will perform a mix of river inspired music with a beat to celebrate our beautiful River Deben at around 1PM (tide permitting) on Whisstocks Square.

River films will be shown all afternoon in the longshed including ‘Life on the Deben’ at 2PM
The thought is to populate the river banks with ambient music as the flotilla goes by. Gentle music and poetry that flows in the breeze …
