MotherShip Voyage ... coming into land

A week today (29th January) we’ll be back on line with another Mothership voyage
We’ve rebranded as Mothership.Voyage as the radio part seems a bit obsolete - we’re now a pop up stream, hailing all frequencies.

The ups and downs of community radio is a well worn path .... In 2010 we started broadcasting ‘Ambient Music World’ show from Woodbridge on Deben community radio, then over the next ten years headed down to London for Radio Ditto, up to Castle Radio in Framlingham, over to Eurobeat Radio, occasional shows on ICR, then to Bentwaters with Radio Mothership and finally over to Rendlesham Radio. All the while streaming live shows to various venues in the similarly unstable metaverse!
At the height of our listenership during Covid, Radio Mothership had over 7,000 listeners but things changed dramatically with lockdown and we had to give up our studio and license. We kept the stream and used it for pop ups at the Woodbridge Ambient Music Festival and various live broadcasts but gave up 24/7 radio.

Now we’re heading to Felixstowe - just 10 miles down the river and the gateway to the North Sea and rest of the world! We’re starting with two hourly shows a week on @fxr107.5

 
Monday 9pm 29th January - Jan Pulsford @janakyomoon returns with her ‘ambient music world’ - an hour of music to relax and unwind. (She originally started the show in the USA alongside her friend, space music artist, @tonygerber Tony Gerber who has been broadcasting his Ambient Music Show for over 20 years!)

Saturday 8pm February 4th - @garyrjames Gary James with his ‘Uptown Transmission’ A firm favourite with listeners of eclectic mix of underground music. Aside from running the Pavilion Cafe, Gary releases albums as Floormat Doormat and Slow Down Missy. He recently released his groundbreaking stylophone album ‘Timber Barracks’
